Abstract

Four cucurbitacins, bacobitacin A–D (1–4) as well as, a known cytotoxic, cucurbitacin E (5) together with three known phenylethanoid glycosides, monnieraside I, III and plantioside B were isolated form the aerial part of Bacopa monnieri. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic investigations (1D, 2D NMR and ESI-QTOF-MS/MS).
